First of all, I extend my sincere greetings to you and convey my best wishes.

I cordially congratulate the esteemed President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dear brother Ilham Aliyev, and the esteemed Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Nikol Pashinyan, on the awarding of the Zayed International Prize for Human Fraternity.

Today’s ceremony clearly demonstrates that the principles of mutual understanding and trust, the commitment to strengthening interstate dialogue, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the interests of peace and stability represent highly significant, effective, and forward-looking approaches to addressing the complex challenges of the modern world.

Turkmenistan holds the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia in high regard and attaches particular importance to the development of relations with both countries. The Turkmen people and the peoples of these States are bound by centuries-old historical, political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties. At present, interstate relations are developing consistently on the basis of equality, good-neighborliness, and mutual benefit, fully corresponding to the priority goals of our countries.

I would like to note that the wisdom and high sense of responsibility demonstrated by the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia are key factors contributing to the prosperity and well-being of both nations and, more broadly, to the maintenance and strengthening of long-term stability and harmony in the South Caucasus.

We are confident that the awarding of the Sheikh Zayed Prize will serve as a source of inspiration for the continued promotion, at the global level, of the highest values of good-neighborly traditions, a philosophy of peace, and dialogue grounded in trust and mutual respect.

Making use of its status of permanent neutrality, as well as its potential and accumulated political experience, Turkmenistan stands ready to provide comprehensive support to efforts undertaken in this direction, aimed at advancing global and regional peace-building agendas and addressing pressing issues related to the protection of international law and the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.

As is well known, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the United Nations proclaimed 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, which clearly affirmed the relevance and importance of these approaches.

At the same time, this decision reflected the steadily growing global support for the efforts of States and authoritative multilateral organizations to overcome conflicts and to foster effective international cooperation through the pursuit of mutually acceptable solutions.

In this context, the adoption of significant decisions aimed at achieving peace and harmony between Azerbaijan and Armenia precisely during the International Year of Peace and Trust is of truly great historical importance.

Dear participants,

Sheikh bin Zayed was a great statesman. I was fortunate to have many opportunities to sit at the same table with him and speak about peace.

I am convinced that the presentation of the Zayed International Prize for Human Fraternity to the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia will give new impetus to the further development of cooperation in the political-diplomatic, socio-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, elevate bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level, and promote the implementation of joint large-scale economic and infrastructure projects.

I would like to emphasize that Turkmenistan positively assesses these constructive initiatives and existing opportunities and will provide them with comprehensive support.

Taking this opportunity, I wish you strong health, well-being, and great success in your official duties, and to the peoples of neighboring countries - eternal peace, happiness, and prosperity, and, in general, well-being and peace to all peoples of the world.
