The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
On July 3, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, within the framework of the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) held in Khankendi.
During the meeting, the role and significance of high-level mutual visits and contacts between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in the further development of our bilateral relations were discussed.
Regional security issues, cooperation within international organisations, as well as issues on cooperation across the Caspian Sea were considered.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects of expanding cooperation in the economic, trade, energy, transport, humanitarian and cultural spheres.
It was mutually acknowledged that the traditional friendship and brotherly ties historically existing between our nations will continue to develop further based on partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place regarding other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
