“Azerbaijan National Day” to be Held at the UN Third Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Turkmenistan’s Avaza National Tourism Zone

From 4 to 8 August 2025, the “Azerbaijan National Day” will be held in Turkmenistan’s Avaza National Tourism Zone within the framework of the United Nations Third Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. The event aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Republic of Azerbaijan, its artistic traditions, and contemporary creative potential. A delegation from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including renowned national artists, is already in the Avaza region of Turkmenistan, continuing preparations to ensure the event is organized at the highest level.

 

Within the framework of the program:

 

  • The Azerbaijan pavilion will present examples of national handicrafts, publications, souvenirs, and applied arts;
  • The open-air exhibition area will feature carpet weaving, national costumes, traditional scarves (kelaghayi), lacework, and embroidery, alongside master classes;
  • The culinary corner will offer traditional tastes of the national cuisine;
  • Concert programs will showcase national music, dances, and contemporary stage performances.

 

On 5 August, an international gala concert will be held as part of the official opening of the conference. On 6 August, the “Azerbaijan National Day” will be celebrated with a spectacular music and dance program. The event will conclude on 8 August with a closing gala concert featuring prominent performers from our stage.

 

Azerbaijan’s participation in this event is not only a cultural showcase but also a significant contribution to the promotion of peace, cooperation, and cultural diplomacy.
