Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov visit the new residential complex in Shusha
On June 23, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan visited the first residential complex built in the city of Shusha.
Aydin Karimov, the presidential representative for the Shusha district, briefed the Turkmen president on the project.
He said the foundation of the complex was laid by the Azerbaijani president in 2021. Covering nearly 8 hectares, the development consists of 23 buildings and a total of 450 apartments.
Of these, 28 are one-room units, 195 are two-room, 190 are three-room, 30 are four-room, and 7 are five-room apartments.
The complex houses former internally displaced persons, as well as staff working in various state institutions in Shusha who live in official service apartments.
Officials said extensive landscaping and improvement work had been carried out in the area, with green spaces created and conditions provided for residents’ comfort and recreation.
