Joint concert of the State Dance Ensembles of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan held in Arkadag City
On 6 June, a joint concert featuring the State Dance Ensembles of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was held at the State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly in Arkadag City.
The event was attended by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan, Nursakhet Shirimov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan, Gismat Gozalov, representatives of the Ministries of Culture of both countries, cultural figures, and members of the public.
The concert programme featured performances of traditional national dances by dance ensembles from both countries.
The performances presented by the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble, including “Nagharalar,” “Toy,” “Gazakhi,” “Tarakama,” “Chaychi,” “Aghchichek,” and “Uzundara,” were warmly received by the audience and met with enthusiastic applause.
The artistic performances, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani and Turkmen peoples, attracted considerable interest and appreciation from spectators.
The colourful stage programme once again demonstrated the close cultural affinity, friendship, and brotherly ties that unite the peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
The event continued with a presentation of Turkmenistan’s national equestrian show. During the performance, riders and horses demonstrated a variety of impressive equestrian and acrobatic acts. Showcasing the ancient horse-breeding and equestrian traditions of the Turkmen people, the programme provided participants with a memorable cultural experience and left a lasting impression on the audience.
