Another one of our films, the feature-length fiction film “Native Land”, was also screened at the “Ashgabat” Cinema
The feature-length fiction film “Native Land”, produced in 2025 by Narimanfilm with the support of the Azerbaijan Republic Cinema Agency, was directed and written by Ilgar Safat.
Independent Azerbaijan is fighting against separatists within its own territory, particularly in the Karabakh region. Miranda, a journalist from London, arrives in Azerbaijan to make a documentary about the Caucasian leopard. During her research, she discovers not only facts about the leopard but also numerous truths related to Azerbaijan’s painful and honorable history. Miranda’s journey turns into a dramatic story where nature, history, and human destinies intersect.
All three films were watched by prominent scholars and cultural figures of Turkmenistan, representatives of the public, and students.
The films were warmly received and attracted great interest from the audience.
